Elise Duncan, 26, and Zach Wright, 29, of St Charles got hugs and congratulations. A group photo was taken by their wedding officiant, Carolyn Burke, who used several cameras from the groom and some wedding guests to take a picture of everyone who attended. Burke then was on her way - perhaps to the next legal marriage signing service.
Why did this couple want to get married in Kirkwood, and so simply? In the midst of winter, it is easy to dream about running away, eloping, or just getting married on a beach somewhere warm and beautiful. But, instead, St Louis is the destination. St Louis? Really?
